Guardian Automatic Fire Protection, Inc. started as a fire sprinkler contracting company in September of 1976.  At that time, national corporations were dominant and locally the fire protection competition was between a few large companies.  Recognizing the opportunity for an excellent designer with a vision for the future, Randy Triola took the advice of his father and started Guardian.  The company first worked out of a rented house with a small garage.  Due to steady growth, Guardian was incorporated in November of 1988, and the same year moved to a new location on Capital in Oak Park.  The offices and shop areas were renovated several times, however Guardian eventually outgrew the building on Capital, and in 2002 moved to a larger, more modern facility.  Our 33,000 sq. ft. building is located on 3.5 acres in Oak Park, Michigan.  Guardian is centrally located in Metro Detroit, enabling us to easily serve southeastern Michigan.

After our facility was adequate, finding good personnel was our biggest challenge.  This has been accomplished in all phases of our operation.  Guardian is now the best in the business.  By retaining exceptional people to maintain high quality at fair prices, we believe the future is brighter than ever.
